Prince Charles Hospital - Healthcare furniture project

About this project

As a result of the Welsh government awarding £220m funding, we were selected by main contractor, Tilbury Douglas, to provide healthcare furniture for the newly refurbished Prince Charles Hospital, in Merthyr Tydfil. This is part of a multi-phase project, the second phase of which we have completed for five wards at the hospital. The total value of our part of the project is £195,000.

The overall contract will include renovations to the ground and first floors of the Prince Charles Hospital, refurbishing every ward. The aim of the scheme will be to improve patient care and the working environment for staff by creating a more modern and efficient healthcare setting. Operating theatres, critical care, radiology and outpatients’ services are among the departments set to benefit from the refurbishment.

Brendan O’Hara at Tilbury Douglas commented:

David Bailey always do a great job, we work well together. The operatives on site have always been very helpful and the installation went well.”

The project consists of redesigning and relocating departments in order to create more efficient and modern accommodation.

  • Radiology
