David Bailey furniture online helps design and entertain

Designed to inform and even entertain, an updated interactive design section on the David Bailey Furniture Systems website has just been launched. Aimed at architects and specifiers, the interactive section allows visitors to view, interact with and modify aspects of room layouts in a healthcare or education environment.

Impressively, not only does it have the facility to select and view new colours and finishes, it also allows users to zoom in on certain areas of the room for closer inspection. Here, users can open cupboards, drawers, storage units, view specialist lighting features on drug cupboards and even view close-ups of internal hinges. Overall, it seeks to provide an improved graphic representation of what the finished product looks like.

Within both the education and health sections, the viewer has an option for room layout – U-shaped or L-shaped – with each room-set incorporating a wide variety of units aiming to showcase the scope of the two ranges.

To ensure it is as user-friendly as possible and really adds value to the design process, a number of features and services have been included.

Firstly, David Bailey Furniture Systems’ own colour and handle ordering codes have been incorporated alongside each selection to save time at the specification and ordering stage of the project. With over 40 different ‘colour’ buttons, each represents one of the different laminate options available from David Bailey Furniture Systems. The interactive facility also allows users to choose wall colour options, allowing users to recreate the room in every conceivable colour combination available within the range.

Trevor Gillman, managing director, commented: “We have had such positive feedback from our website to date that we have now reinvested in a more modern and realistic portrayal of what our finished product looks like. From research findings among many of our clients, we found that this is something that will help them.”

As a leading manufacturer of fitted furniture for the healthcare and education sector, David Bailey Furniture Systems has been widely specified across the UK and is currently involved in the prestigious Northwick Park hospital and Cygnet Health Care projects.
