Trevor takes over as CEO at David Bailey Furniture
Trevor Gillman has stepped down as managing director of David bailey Furniture, the country’s fastest growing manufacturer of specialist furniture products for the healthcare sector, schools and dental and veterinary centres, to take on a major new role.
He takes over as Chief Executive Officer, as part of a dynamic new management team set up to deliver the next phase of a major expansion programme designed to establish the company as a clear market leader within the next five years.
He is joined by Tony Huggins who has been promoted from Operations Manager to Managing Director, who has been charged with delivering plans to streamline the business still further following an ambitious investment programme which has seen the company significantly expand its production capacity.
Trevor joined David Bailey Furniture as a surveyor 33 years ago when it was operating as a medium sized manufacturer of kitchen units. He quickly progressed to Managing Director in 1992, running the business taking responsibility for quotes, customer relations and the supervision of fitters.
By 2016 Trevor had purchased the company and started to make major changes in direction targeting the lucrative and fast expanding healthcare sector as a market for innovative storage units and other specialist furniture products.
His eye for new market opportunities led to the development of design led ranges of furniture which could be produced to the highest quality at value for money prices which has seen the company deliver spectacular growth.

With me acting as CEO and Tony Huggins as managing director, I believe we are now ready for our next phase of expansion.”

David Bailey Furniture has been established for more than 40 years and employs 38 staff. Their Healthcare range of fitted furniture features within some of the country’s largest and most prestigious NHS and private hospitals. It is also regularly specified for other healthcare furniture projects from health centres and nursing homes to doctors’ surgeries and dental practices. In more recent years the company has also significantly increased its presence in the schools and veterinary markets and is now a major supplier to the prisons sector and other growing niche markets.
