David Bailey wins £1 million fitted hospital furniture contract for new development
David Bailey Furniture Systems has been awarded a £1 million contract to supply and install fitted hospital furniture in the newly developed, state-of-the-art Southmead Hospital in Bristol.
David Bailey is due to start fitting furniture for the redevelopment in August and it is hoped that the new hospital will open in 2013. It will create a brand new 768-bed acute hospital with 100 existing maternity and gynaecology beds, plus a brand new 32-bed community hospital with rehabilitation unit, outpatients, x-rays and day time minor injuries facilities.
Trevor Gillman, Managing Director of David Bailey Furniture Systems, said: “This is terrific news for David Bailey. Although not unusual for us, a contract of such magnitude for our Healthline range of hospital furniture is excellent and to be involved in something that will deliver such an improvement on services is a great reward.”
The fitted healthcare furniture David Bailey will be supplying and installing will include floor standing and wall hung storage units, worktops and a variety of medical drugs cabinets, specifically:
- HTM71 modular storage units, which are ideal for the management and storage of consumables and equipment in healthcare buildings. The range includes tall units, base units, wall units, specialist cupboards, free-standing or wall-mounted units and a variety of accessories.
- HTM63 storage units and worktops, which are ideal for theatre suites and other areas where a particularly rigid cleaning regime is required.
- Corian worktops for the beverage bays and clinical work stations – solid surfaces that are the material of choice for architects and designers specialising in healthcare. For further information fill our form or call 01843 604896.
