Supporting the NHS with healthcare furniture
During the Covid-19 lockdown we are still working at our Broadstairs factory and continue to be committed to supporting the NHS and private health sectors with their healthcare furniture requirements. We’re really pleased to be helping out at this time of crisis. Because we focus on furniture for hospital and healthcare facilities, and specialise in HTM 63 and HTM 71 compliant furniture, we have been able to respond quickly to meet the very tight deadlines required at the moment.
We’re really pleased that we’ve been able to manufacture and provide HTM 63 & 71 compliant healthcare furniture to the following hospitals:
Peterborough City Hospital – via contractor Multiplex Construction Europe
Peterborough City Hospital is an acute teaching hospital and is a state-of-the-art, purpose built facility which opened to its first patients in November 2010.
Hillingdon Hospital – via contractor MTX Contracts
Hillingdon Hospital is an acute and specialist services provider in North West London, close to Heathrow Airport for which it is the nearest hospital for those receiving emergency treatment.
Royal Preston Hospital – via contractor Interserve Construction
Royal Preston Hospital provides a full range of district general hospital services including Emergency Department, critical care, general medicine including elderly care, general surgery, oral and maxillo-facial surgery, ear nose and throat surgery, anaesthetics, children’s services, women’s health and maternity, and several specialist regional services including cancer, neurosurgery and neurology, renal, plastics and burns, rehabilitation, and the major trauma centre for Lancashire and South Cumbria.
HTM 63 Furniture
We offer a range of fitted furniture that meets the specific requirements of the HTM 63 (Health Technical Memorandum). Originally designed by the Department of Health, the HTM 63 sets out a range of storage units and worktops of unique design for use in healthcare primarily. Our range of suspended storage units and worktops is manufactured to a high-specification, featuring a melamine faced MDF carcass. The suspended style makes them ideal for Theatre suites or where a particularly rigid floor cleaning regime is required.

HTM 71 Furniture
We provide a further range that meets the specific requirements of the Health Technical Memorandum 71 – Materials management modular storage, as outlined by the Department of Health. All of the products in our HTM 71 range offer space saving modular storage systems ideally suited for the management and storage of consumables and equipment in healthcare buildings. The range includes tall units, base units, wall units, specialist cupboards and a variety of accessories, which are supplied by Mailbox Moulding International. The products are a result of extensive research and development in response to the real-life situations encountered by healthcare professionals in their working environment.
