David Bailey’s 20 years on top

This year marks the 20th anniversary of David Bailey Furniture Systems. The company started as a domestic kitchen manufacturer, but identified a niche in the healthcare market in 1991. Since then, the company has grown to become one of the UK’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of fitted healthcare furniture.

David Bailey has seen continued growth from the outset. The company’s turnover increased by 10% last year and is expected to exceed this in 2002. Recent investments have helped the company achieve this, including the addition of a new 2,000 square foot factory extension, for storing finished products prior to despatch. Over £60,000 has also been invested in a unique wood cutting machine designed to streamline the company’s production of worktops to help it meet increased orders and demands for rapid turnaround.

David Bailey also launched its new website last year. Visitors to the site can now access an interactive page offering a choice of product colour combinations and a CAD download facility, including the company’s wall units and worktop designs.

Genesis Medical Pre-installation Limited, industry specialists in the installation of all types of x-ray equipment, has been purchasing the David Bailey Healthline range since starting business in 1993.
