Healthcare furniture at North Middlesex University Hospital

Since September 2013, £114.6 million has been invested in expanding and modernising facilities at three hospitals, North Middlesex, Barnet and Chase Farm. Ed Dwight, contractor at Kier Construction Limited commented on the vast hospital refurbishment project:

“We refurbished seven storeys in total at North Middlesex University Hospital, including a maternity ward, four A&E wards and a pediatric ward. The client was exceptionally pleased with the service they received and awarded us a 9.8 satisfaction rate; the project came in on time and on budget!”

Ed continued, “One of the most important factors in hospitals or any healthcare environment is hygiene and privacy. The fitters at David Bailey are highly experienced in working in a live hospital environment. They kept dust levels to a minimum, minimised patient disruption, and strictly obeyed all access times. David Bailey were great to work with as a sub-contractor; responsive and well-organised, with high quality products. They were also flexible and adapted easily to any unplanned activity, which in this case included TV bracket fixings from suspended ceilings”.

At North Middlesex University Hospital the furniture installation included our HTM71 range of modular hospital storage units specially designed for the management and storage of consumables and equipment. The installation also included tall storage units, base and wall storage units, specialist medicine cupboards, free-standing units and a variety of worktops, all from our Healthline range. Additionally David Bailey installed shelving, curtain tracks, grab rails and mirrors.
