Manor Street Medical Centre, Braintree | Case study

About this project

We are delighted to have been awarded a £60,000 contract for healthcare furniture for the new Manor Street Medical Centre, in Braintree, Essex. Because this was a brand new build, furniture across the whole medical centre building was required, including treatment rooms, consulting rooms, staff WCs and shower rooms, kitchenette, store rooms, staff rooms, GP reception and meeting rooms.

Manor Street is a £30 million , mixed-use, regeneration scheme for Braintree District Council to rejuvenate and revitalise the town centre, providing homes, a hotel, health provision, car park and bus interchange.

Healthcare furniture for Manor Street Medical Centre

Manor Street is a major, £35 million regeneration project for Braintree District Council that will rejuvenate and revitalise the town centre, providing new facilities and enhanced public realm, to support an increase in services, businesses and homes, creating a vibrant destination for the community.

The mixed-use scheme will include 35 new homes, a 70-room hotel, health provision, new bus interchange, two-storey car park, and enhanced public realm, which will complement Braintree’s historic Town Hall and provide the perfect backdrop for a new café/restaurant.

The development places the wellbeing of the community at the heart, with a new healthcare facility to meet the future needs of Braintree’s growing population. The new health and wellbeing hub will be home to Mid Essex CCG’s first Livewell Hub, providing residents access to more integrated health and wellbeing services, with options of facilities including a GP surgery, pharmacy and further preventative healthcare services.

The fitted healthcare furniture we supply is manufactured at our factory in Broadstairs, Kent. We provide specialist, HTM 63 and HTM 71 compliant furniture and storage units, specialising in the healthcare and hospital market. We have installed fitted healthcare furniture to many UK hospitals, health centres, clinics and GP surgeries, including Guys & St. Thomas Hospital, Great Ormond Street Hospital, North Middlesex University Hospital and Northwick Park Hospital. Architects and Contractors rely on us because they know we are well established and professional and our durable furniture is manufactured in Britain with craftsmanship and professionalism.
