About this project

Murray Philipps and Dransfield Owens De Silva architects firms specified our Healthline furniture range for two new health centres in north London, at Vale Drive and Forest Road, Edmonton. The combined value of the two contracts was just over £70,000.

Chris Boyce, Project Surveyor at contractor Galliford Try Partnerships, said:

“We endeavour to work with companies that assist us in achieving our vision of service excellence. David Bailey Furniture Systems does this on several levels, helping us to meet deadlines and exceed expectations.”

Healthcare furniture at Vale Drive & Forest Road health centres

Murphy Philipps Architects and Dransfield Owens De Silva Architects, appointed project architects for the two schemes, specified the furniture from our Healthline range. Items from the range used for the combined £70,300 contract include wall and base units, lockable cupboards, shelving and worktops.

Both firms pride themselves on their work within the health sector and are recognised for innovative architectural solutions and quality design.

These two health centres are the first to benefit from the Barnet, Enfield and Haringey NHS LIFT project that will provide modern, high quality premises where GPs, nursing teams, dentists, therapists, the voluntary sector and social services can offer a greater variety of services to the community.

Healthcare furniture by David Bailey

The fitted healthcare furniture we supply is manufactured at our factory in Broadstairs, Kent. We provide specialist, HTM 63 and HTM 71 compliant furniture and storage units, specialising in the healthcare and hospital market. We have installed fitted healthcare furniture to many UK hospitals, health centres, clinics and GP surgeries, including Guys & St. Thomas Hospital, Great Ormond Street Hospital, North Middlesex University Hospital and Northwick Park Hospital. Architects and Contractors rely on us because they know we are well established and professional and our durable furniture is manufactured in Britain with craftsmanship and professionalism. We also install our furniture into a facility, so there is no need to ensure a contractor has installation instructions.

Supporting the NHS through the Coronavirus pandemic

Our factory has been operational throughout the Coronavirus pandemic and we have been able to support the NHS by responding quickly to orders for furniture at several facilities, including Peterborough City Hospital, Hillingdon Hospital, Royal Preston Hospital and also furniture for mobile CT scanner units in Hull.
