David Bailey Furniture Systems, leading manufacturer and supplier of fitted furniture for the healthcare and education sectors, has been selected to supply a range of fitted furniture for the high profile John Radcliffe Hospital Project in Oxford.
The furniture, to be fitted throughout the Children’s Hospital and the new wing, was specified by RTKL-UK Ltd, the appointed project architect. Items include wall and base units, lockable cupboards, shelving and worktops.
“David Bailey’s Healthline range met our brief of high quality, durable and aesthetically-pleasing furniture tailored to the hospital’s needs,” commented Curtis Warmington of RTKL-UK Ltd.
Contractor for the project Carillion Construction Ltd has a contractual completion date of December 2006. Keith Hutton, project manager, Carillion, commented: “We have worked with David Bailey in the past, and have always been pleased with the quality and service provided.”
The David Bailey Healthline range of fitted furniture is firmly established as the market-leading brand for the healthcare sector. Specifications extend from doctors’ surgeries and health centres to large hospital developments such as this.
The project, procured under the Government’s Private Finance Initiative, is a major part of the redevelopment plan for the Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals NHS Trust.Case study date: February 19, 2014
